Top trends for a fashionable summer

Get ready for 21 June as summer is just around the corner! Even though the pandemic is still lurking with a vengeance, normality is in sight which means it’s time to open our wardrobes and glam up again *FINALLY*!

But what to choose? And what to buy? What are the latest trends for summer? And what are the trending colours?

Due to the pandemic, fashion shows went fully digital with an online streaming system. Despite the problems that lay in place, we were never short of content, especially with the evident trending colours.

Pantone has recently announced the colour trends for spring and summer 2021. Consisting of three types, ‘Summer Bouquet’, ‘Intoxicating’, and ‘Power Surge’, they all provide a variety of fun and wonderful colours to make you on trend this summer in undeniable fashion.

With the numerous lockdowns that we’ve been through, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the sweatpants escapism. We spent a lot of time at home, we got lazier and now we simply prefer wearing comfy outfits. It’s understandable that wide, baggy pants (full of complete comfort), are in fashion this summer.

Here are just some of the most fashionable trends that you want to get your hands on this summer…

The shift from skinny jeans to wide and baggy trousers is happening this season. Now it’s all about comfort but in a trendy way. What’s special about these trousers is that it’s perfect for a *HOPEFULLY* hot summer and can easily be paired with crop tops or bralets. With the wideness of the trousers, a smaller choice on the upper half completes the look to be contrastingly trendy.

There’s nothing more to maximum comfort whilst being trendy than a floaty maxi dresses. The cut-out style is definitely in this summer and it hasn’t gone unnoticed in some of our favourite outfit choices. This small but significant detail can add a simply small but beautiful addition to an already stylish outfit.

As mentioned previously, the bralettes are in trend this season, especially if it’s lace. If you’re a fan of crop tops then you’ll love these choices. Not only does it give a refreshing look but also shows the perfect amount of some skin. It can be worn with shorts layered with a kimono jacket or a blazer with some trousers, depending on the occasion. The pencil skirt is as trendy this season and it is feminine. A black pencil skirt can be worn with a blazer or a belted jacket, tucked in a shirt or even paired with bralet or crop top.

Last but not least, a super trendy look this summer is the crisscross cords and wraparounds. They tend to be around the waist or on the back.
